1st time here and the hamburger was perfectly cooked. I added bacon, yum. The fries are their special ones with Parmesan cheese super yummy and definitely a upscale touch I did not anticipate. Wonderful waitress. A must try in downtown and off the beaten path of the regular downtown hotspots. Definitely coming back.

Cool spot. Mostly older than college crowd and it’s nice to have a place like that in town. Good drinks and lower prices than most the competition in the area. Chicken sandwich was fantastic. Good weekday food specials and their happy hour is top tier.

From groups of people playing trivia to excellent food, to music I didn't like, to watching hockey on TV, Loosey's was perfect. First there was a line of people outside waiting to order and get seats for the upcoming trivia game. I waited, though I did not play. Inside was a bar that was quite full, loud and very busy. It is a bar. Finally ordered my dinner, it is expensive at Loosey's, be ready to pay. I had the 14 oz Prime Rib Steak. IT WAS PRIME. Best damn steak I have eaten in many years. The fries that came with it were crunchy and delicious. I also ordered a Loosey Salad. It to was great. The servers were all very good and made sure everything was just perfect. Was the food, service and atmosphere worth the $40 price tag for one person? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! I very highly recommend Loosey's.

OH MY GOD literally don’t look further for a place to go to. I already loved looseys because their Mac n cheese is to DIE for, but I recently came with my mom who wanted to order the 14oz steak, she was hesitant but I told her, out of anywhere, I would trust this place. Now I’ll say she was mostly thrown off by the steak bc it was 14oz with a side for only $21 and it sounded good, “Garlic butter” and just omgggg. We were also looking for a perfect place with good vibes that allowed dogs, not only were they super cool but a lot of people said hey to my dog which made the experience 10/10 better. Here’s some photos, they were awesome.

The rating is respective of the place, not overall in the restaurant landscape. It’s what I call a little dusty, divey, with good food and college town specials. Three of us had a burger, a chimichurri chicken and Chic-Fil-Loosey’s Nashville Hot, all with hand cut fries cooked perfectly crisp. The burger was decent sized and cooked well, tasted fresh as did the full set-up, and the chimichurri chicken was good and daughter made it disappear quickly. The Nashville hot was great, crispy, moist and very spicy! I’d do it again! They also have music on weekend nights when we’ve been there. And it’s a good mix of students and some locals, and visiting parents. It has plenty of outdoor seating when then weather’s nice and let’s are welcome. The Sunday drink specials was happy hour all day, great specialty cocktails and Mocktails, I had the $2 PBR tall boy since I was feeling retro collegiate. 🤪 We’ve been about 4-5 over the years and will continue to support them since we all enjoy the place and the service from Elliott was spot on, bravo!!

Nice bar and a very good burger. We went there at 6pm the bar was quite empty but it was hard to find a parking slot. Do not park on the big parking lot where it says tow away zone, you will get a ticket within minutes...

Popped in for a snack and to enjoy some live music. Had the corn dogs and small loosey's salad. Both were quite good. The corn dogs had a very good batter that was less bready than is typical (which I liked) and the beer mustard and house bbq dipping sauces were great. The band that was playing looked like they were undergrad/grad students. They were very talented and their music perfectly matched the vibe of the bar.

If there is a better burger in Gainesville, I need to know where it is. Because it would be hard to top this. Local beef cooked to order over the fire with fresh cut fries? Perfect.

There are 25 beers on tap. We had the burnt ends, brussel sprouts, Mac & Cheese, and wings. All were VERY tasty! Our server Julia seemed to have a 6th sense about her, showing up just as we needed refills or to place additional food orders.

We have visited Loosey's twice since arriving in Gainesville. It is a bar with a good vibe. The first visit was just for a drink and wings. All good. We had great service and really enjoyed sitting at the bar. About a week later, we went back for their Friday fish special. Again, we sat at the bar. The bartender, Erin, (spelling?) was fantastic. The Friday fish dish consisted of a roughly 6 inch by 1.5ish inch stick of fish, battered and fried, that was ... meh... by that, I mean not bad but not something I would get again, just no seasoning or flavor. It came with a good tartar sauce and good fries. There was a little dollop of cabbage slaw ... less than meh. We enjoyed our time there and will come back to try a different meal. Bathrooms are clean but be aware that there are writings in some stalls that could be disturbing to children.
